Who is QBLOX?
QBLOX is a quantum computing product startup, based in the Netherlands. With just 4 years of experience, they have worked their way up and are a leading provider of smart, innovative and sustainable quantum computing products in the Netherlands today.
They needed to scale up
QBLOX had always relied on traditional sales methods, with almost no digital marketing in place. In 2020, this startup set an ambitious goal for itself. They wanted to scale up their digital marketing to a point where it becomes the key revenue driver.

We started our magic
Our team saw the need for an in-depth understanding of the client’s current situation and growth problems. In order to get the overall understanding, we analysed their marketing, sales and customer data, carried out interviews and ran workshops so that we knew the client’s processes inside out. We observed that the QBLOX had not created an ideal buyer persona and customer journey.
Therefore, we created several hypotheses of buyer personas, channels and content. We set goals and KPIs to measure the success of each test. It was then time to test these ideas. We tested over 100 different ad campaigns and 8 landing pages.
In order to serve only the best leads for our client’s sales team, we implemented a lead scoring model that indicated which leads were qualified to be handed over. The leads that were not ready to buy were automatically nurtured with relevant content until they became more interested in making a purchase.
After several months of testing various marketing campaigns, we were able to select 10 ads and two landing pages that were performing brilliantly. In a short period of time, we got a clearer and more complete understanding of what works for the client. Based on the collected insight we built an ideal buyer persona and customer journey for the company. We also improved the messaging and budget allocation using marketing data. With everything we learned along the way, we kept building, improving and continuously introducing new ideas to test.
Ultimately our experiment-driven marketing process paid off. We discontinued the failed experiments and allocated more marketing budgets to the successful ones until the deliverable were met.
We catapulted QBLOX into the Digital Space
Our solutions multiplied the existing leads of QBLOX by 8.5 and sales-ready leads were increased by 12.5%. We were also able to provide our client with a 58% decrease in average cost per lead, which was 60€ when we started but 25€ when we left. That’s not all 44% of cold leads were converted to warm leads through nurturing.
